This was the first time for me at the dealership and I had a software recall on my new diesel pick up, which is why I went there in the first place. It took 2 1/2 hours for an oil change when I had an appointment and they did not even address the software update. I understand they were understaffed, which would not have been a problem if that had been communicated at the start and not just when everyone had been waiting for a very long time. After the 2 1/2 hours were finally up, knowing that the software update would take an hour which I was told at the beginning I had been expecting everything to be taken care of, but was told that they had just now taken the vehicle down to do the software update after 2 1/2 hours of just doing an oil change I was very upset as I had been waiting there for a very long time with the expectation that everything was getting done. If everything had been done in that amount of time. I would have understood but the fact it took 2 1/2 hours for an oil change a tire rotation is absurd. if they had communicated to me during the oil change where we were at the process and that the software update had not been done I would not have been as upset as I was. I feel like the communication would help people not be as upset as multiple people were that day due to short staffing that was not communicated until everyone was irritated for waiting so long. I prefer going to dealerships to get my oil changed and such but I’m not sure if I will be doing that if this is how it will be every time I still need to get the software update done because I had been waiting for far too long as it was on my rare day off of work. I feel like everything could’ve been better if there was more communication in the process.

We were a little frustrated about our warranty situation since we were told by two different team members early on that our issue should be covered, only to find out later that it was not. We felt misled when purchasing the warranty a year ago, but we know now to read the fine print when selecting a warranty. The team at Jerry Durant did their best to support us and complete the necessary work.

You tried to charge me $3400 and some change for a $200 part and $2900 in labor for a 4 1/2 to 5 hour job. Charge me $326 for a part that’s only cost $200,. You charge me $60 for coolant, which is good. I have no objections to that. Then turn around and you subtract that you try to charge me over $2900 for labor which it would only take four hours maybe five hours to do. How I know this I end up going to a different auto shop and that’s what he charged me was a total of $700 For labor and the parts. You should be ashamed of yourself and I will be writing a review on Yelp and will write a letter to the dealership itself of exact events that took place. You also lied to me and saying it takes 2 to 3 weeks but when you called me with the total estimate, you told me you got parts at another dealership that you can do it right away. You guys just wanted the money and not me go elsewhere. When I did pick it up, I asked for itemized bill, which y’all had but would not give it to me. What kind of service is that. I paid you $215 for a diagnostic check then you taxed me on it and turn around on top of that charge me 3% to use my card. You didn’t take any other method so you gouge me on that as well. You guys are unprofessional and a disgrace to other dealerships. You are the people that set a bad example for other people to trust any dealership service. I will not come to you again or recommend you at all. You guys suck! plain as day.

Your service was OK, but the price for a basic oil change is way too high. $100 dollars for a simple oil change of my 15 minutes work is in my opinion ridicules. All they did was change the filter and oil. Simple. There was also a charg3 on the bill that I do not understand, it was for apparently nothing, I guess it was because we can charge. It was for but $6.74 but it says Customer paid shop supplies for repair order. I do not understand this, as everything else was accounted for?

Brought my truck in for an oil change and a grill guard installed. It took 3 days to install the guard. First one was supposedly damaged, second one was the wrong one, finally got it right on the 3rd. I have taken my truck for an oil change there several times and always changed the fuel filter every other time , except this time. My filter was at 30%. Now I leaving on a several month trip pulling a heavy trailer. Now I’m having to worry about this on the road. You always washed my truck every time, except this time. Ray kept me informed and I thank him for that. Also it would be nice for them to let you know ahead of time that there’s a 3.5% charge o when using. Credit card. That cost was almost $50. Think I’ll find another place to go.

Arrived for my 7:30am appointment for tire rotation/balance and oil change. Was told I would have to wait 2 hours before they could start because one of the techs was late due to car trouble. Said afternoon should be better. I said put me down for a 3:30 appointment. Arrived at 3, truck went on the lift at 3:30 (good so far). Took 2hrs 15min for service. That includes the last 30 min 3 guys working on it (or just talking a lot). I was the last vehicle out of the shop. No apologies by that time, not even a service advisor (Ray was gone at that point) to notify me. No one spoke to me except the cashier when I walked to her. No one seemed to care or have any pep in their step (except the young gentleman advisor serving other customers). Great experiences before this one, hoping it’s a one time issue.

Quick lube services in Granbury complete such work in 10 to 15 minutes. Price for service was not competitive with independent / chain services.

Car had a deadline, and not only was it missed, I was forced to check on it and ultimately put my foot down picking it up done or Not. Truck also has an extended warranty, PURCHASED FROM JERRYS BURLESON, and ZERO EFFORT WAS MADE TO USE IT. Truck was 5000 miles out of Bumper to bumper warranty and I had to pay 400$ out of pocket to fix a wheel speed sensor on a 2024 truck with 41k miles. After paying 80k for the truck and then 3000$ for the extended warranty.

Ray was not helpful or knowledgeable about helping figure out the problem with my truck. I felt like he belittled me as a woman, when clearly I know more about my truck then he knows about them. I told him to make sure to call me before anything that cost money to let me know. Upon arrival to pick up my truck I was told that they did a battery check on my truck that was going to cost me. I could’ve done a battery check at auto zone for free. My truck never threw a code for low voltage prior to bringing it up there which has now led me to believe that while someone was looking at it they must have let it run for quite sometime and after not being able to figure out the problem they then checked the battery which then showed low battery voltage from running for so long. He was not attentive to my needs nor did he listen because if he had I wouldn’t still be running around in circles with this. Battery voltage has nothing to do with the problem because the problem with the radio has been going on for over a year and if the battery were actually bad. I would’ve had to have had it replaced long ago. I have told him many of times that I believe it has an electrical problem. Which I believe shouldn’t be happening on a $55,000 truck that only has 53,000 miles on it. I have had nothing but negative experiences with your establishment and have definitely thought about calling someone higher up or even a news station because I don’t feel as though my problem is being addressed because I am a women and because my warranty is about to expire and he just simply doesn’t want to mess with it. Which is bad business in my eyes being that the Durants have lived in Granbury for years and have been a staple in this town. I will never tell tell ppl good things about the service I received because the service sucks here to be quite frank. The amount of time to even get a loaner car from yall is ridiculous almost as if they just don’t want to give one out. I know that yall have a computer that can read all the codes that are thrown but it seems as though no one wants to take the time out to actually address them. I am a single mom my husband passed I don’t have the time for my truck to not be working. So I brought it in to be looked at just like other people would except I don’t hav the extra money to put into just being told nothing is wrong with it when clearly the check engine light was flashing when I brought it in. And was throwing codes for many different thing which I offered to send Ray an email that listed each one. However he never showed any interest in getting them. Even when I came to pick it up the screen wouldn’t come on and he said well what do you want to do?! I said fix it duh and told him to get his computer reader. It’s like he was in disbelief that I actually knew what I was talking about. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I was provided with. I normally would just shrug this off but this is my lifeline to get my children to school and get myself to work so I can provide for them. Not everyone has another vehicle just lying around to have a fall back plan. And renting one at $52 a day is not doable for most people in the way the world is going these days. I’m not trying to be rude in any shape form or fashion but at the end of the day with most everyone in the world. I’m sure I’m not the only person that feels this way about the service they’ve been provided by this company. Thank you and have a blessed day!

Dusty was great to work with but the Service Advisor Eric was absolutely horrible. I had to call multiple times to get an update on my vehicle due to him not keeping me informed like he said he would. He originally told me my truck would be looked at by Wednesday and it never even got touched. I rearranged my whole schedule for the week to accommodate being down a vehicle. I was told by Eric it would be looked at and fixed in time before the weekend. I called Wednesday and left 2 voicemails which he never responded to. I finally got ahold of him Thursday and he said it would be looked at in that Thursday afternoon. I never received a call. I called numerous times again Friday before I finally got Eric on the phone and he told me his technician never got to it but promised Monday. I told him I needed my vehicle back for the weekend and I’d drop it off Monday morning which he said it would be out front waiting on me. I got there way before the dealerships closed the service drive and was told he was gone for the day and no one knew what was going on with my truck when I went to pick it up. Dusty overheard what was going on and personally saw to it that my truck was looked at on Monday. Without Dusty intervening I would have never brought my vehicle back. This was my first experience with this service advisor and this dealership and it definitely makes me not want to return.

Salesman Aaron, loved him. For being so new, he was able to answer most of our questions. He's a keeper. Finance, Joe and Ryan were both nice and knowledgeable. Service staff was helpful and courteous. One suggestion would be to alert customers (when notifying that the vehicle is ready) of the policy of charging 3% on top of the bill when using charge card. I understand that often the banks charge this and it is just a pass-through charge. There should be a cap of $25 on this charge. My charge fee was over $90. My bill was over $3000, so I think there should be a cap when there is such a high bill (that the dealership likely is making a decent profit on anyway.).

My battery in my Camaro was tested somewhere else and said it was dead. My car wouldn’t start and been having trouble for about a month with the battery. I finally got it to Jerry Durant’s to get a new battery put in and an oil change. A couple of hours later your service advisor called and said there is nothing wrong with my battery. That is not true! I’ve had a hard time getting it to start for nearly a month. If I would have trusted him I would have broke down again. I told him to put a new battery in. Just like I told him…my battery is not good so now it starts right up like is is suppose to. I had to go back after I got in my vehicle because they didn’t put everything back on the battery and left it laying in my trunk. That is uncalled for! That’s not the first time that had happened. I dropped my car off around 9:30 am and I finally left a message at 3:00 pm to ask is my car done yet? I got an answer around 3:40 pm and he said yes my car is done. That is totally ridiculous!!! I have used this service department for nearly 30 years. They need to do better than this. I went to pay and they usually pull my car up for me to get in. I stood and waited for my car and finally gave up and started looking for it. It was parked out in the parking lot. They have never done that before. Plus no one told me where my car was. I’m so disappointed with Jerry Durant Chevrolet. I’m going to talk to the service manager about his department.
